About

Our FIRST Standard Schnauzer

I got into standard schnauzers quite by accident. I had owned miniature schnauzers since 1976, and when I needed a larger dog to help around the farm, I looked into the standard schnauzer breed. Everything about the breed fitted my lifestyle and wants. So, a search began for a standard schnauzer, and I located one soon after.  One look and Ivy Green came home to Moon Flower Farm.  Someone forgot to tell Ivy Green that she was to be a farm dog; she decided to become an AKC champion.

 C. J. Favre, professional dog handler, began her showing career in Ashville, NC, the first weekend of June. Ivy finished her AKC championship in late August at the Atlanta cluster shows. In between shows with C.J., she spent about 5 weeks of that summer at home playing. I was a bad first time show dog owner!

Ivy's registered name is CH Faulk's Ivy Green with Envy, CGC, TT. She is my foundation bitch.

'Our champion male, "Bob." I acquired Bob when he was four years old. Bob's official title is GCH Bronze Avignon's Buffalo Soldier, CGC, TT. He crossed the rainbow bridge March 5, 2016. Missed every day, but his spirit and conformation lives on in his offspring and grand-kids. He is my foundation stud.

Moon Flower Farm Schnauzers is the kennel name because this beautiful, night-blooming annual vine is all over the farm.
